Hello and welcome back to blogmas day 2! Today I'm doing a slightly different type of post, inspired by Laini Ozark on YouTube. We're going to be discussing seven items you don't need, and seven to replace them. They'll let you get a lot more wear of other items you own.
Get rid of: Patterned leggings
Add: Patterned tights
Patterned leggings from Target plus a matching T-shirt dress is so fourth-grader-core. Leggings are already scarce in the fashion world, and patterned ones are never seen. Instead, find some patterned tights to add some spice to your dresses. If you layer it on top of fleece-lined tights, you can still be warm.
Get rid of: Leggings + hoodies
Add: Matching sweatpants + cropped crewnecks
On the topic of leggings, you don't need as many of them as you think. I suggest keeping only a few pairs of black leggings. You might want some in muted colors if you're an athlete. In lieu of your favorite athleisure piece, wearing matching sweatpants and cropped crewnecks in cream or burgundy would be cute. It's polished and comfortable.
Get rid of: High-low hems
Add: Sleek maxi and midi hems
High-low hems look cool at concerts, but less in real life. It cuts through your legs, making you look disproportionate. Switch it out with satin midi and maxi skirts, which gives a sleek, modern look. A bonus in the winter is all the free real-estate underneath for layering.

Get rid of: Crochet everything
Add: Mesh, lace, chiffon, and crystal netting
I love a good crochet tote, but I there's really no need to own every garment in crochet. If you still want the see-through look, consider adding some mesh, lace, chiffon, or crystal netting.
Get rid of: Second skin tops
Add: Fitted ribbed tops
Those sheer, screen-printed, "second skin" tops are slowly declining. You can replace yours with a ribbed top with the same silhouette. It's way more versatile and comfortable.
Get rid of: Suede slouchy boots
Add: Tall black boots
Slouchy boots have never looked flattering. If you want tall boots, you should get slim leather ones. They don't add a lot of extra weight to your bottom half and go with everything. You can play around with colors, materials, heel height, heel shape, and toe shape.
Get rid of: Crewnecks
Add: Sweaters
You shouldn't be getting rid of all your crewnecks, but swapping one of them with a cable knit sweater can elevate a outfit. They're comfy and warm; you won't regret the purchase.
That's it for today! I hoped you liked it. I played around with a slightly different format, and you'll probably be seeing more of these. Make sure to like, subscribe, spread the word, and comment down your Christmas songs recommendations. Have a great rest of your day and see you tomorrow!
