8 color trends for winter

Hello and welcome back to The Extravagant! Today, I'll be sharing the eight trendiest colors this season. Last year, we had unusual winter colors, like hot pink and cobalt blue. This year we're going back to the basics. All of my mood boards will be on my Pinterest, so make sure to check it out. As always, all my links will be at the end of the post.

This year, I'm doing this thing that I made up called blogmas. Blogmas is a play on the Youtuber-favorite vlogmas, I'll post (or try to) everyday in December, ending on Christmas day. If you have any suggestions for posts, leave them down below. So let's get started!

The first color we'll be talking about it burgundy. Red is always a classic Christmas color, but it has been incorporated in summer, fall, and winter outfits this year. I found a pair of burgundy cowboy boots for $26 at Macy's, and my first thought was the fashion girlies would be frothing at the mouth.

On the topic of red, we have rossa corsa red. It's just a fancier word for scarlet. I've been seeing these red leather kitten heels and flats all over my Pinterest, so it's definitely on my wish-list. It's one of those colors that are equal parts timeless and attention-grabbing.

In my early years of fashion, I wasn't a fan of wearing light pink. The dusty pink of 2018 was just not my thing. But with the rise of balletcore and coquette, I've returned to the scene with baby pink. I was Black Swan for Halloween this year, and researching how to make a tutu led me the discovery of alternative balletcore styles, like those gorgeous Miu Miu flats with the belt straps.

I can't put baby pink on here without including it's equal and opposite, baby blue. It's the perfect mix of fun and elegant. In the future, I would love to see balletcore in shades of blue for a new look.

Silver/chrome is everyone's new favorite metallic. I think the trend will last a while because it's not unheard of, but still fresh compared to the classic gold-during-the-holidays outfits. I love the more futuristic chrome and pretty sequins + crystal netting, both seen on the mood board.

This isn't that much of a surprise, since it's been a thing since the beginning of time. But you can't just not include dark green for winter. Emerald had always been my favorite shade, and Evelyn Hugo and Nikolai Lantsov brought it back to my attention.

Dark chocolate has been trending for the past couple seasons, but this winter it's going to be specifically this cool hue instead of the warm, rich tones we saw before. It will be seen the most in satin, leather, and corduroy.

I didn't really know what to call this color, but it's most accurately seen in the two bottom-most pictures. It's a cool, pure white specifically in satin/silk, which gives it a pearly glow. I named it angel white because of the over-saturated filters that were trending last year which gave any white clothing this look. People used them to look otherworldly. Anyways, it's such a stunning color and hopefully I can find something like this.

That's it for today! Make sure to like, comment, subscribe, and spread the word. Again, if you have any post suggestions, leave them in the comments. See you tomorrow!
