Even though I'll be staying home this Valentine's day instead of eating cupcakes in school, I still wanted to get into the spirit. Here are some nails and outfit ideas for Valentine's day.
Outfits
A pretty, feminine frock in a pastel color is always so cute.
If you want to wear a classic red dress, then go for black accessories to keep it simple.
Add a fun touch with a pink coat.
A ruched top with playful jewelry is an unique idea.
For a non-cheesy look, pair a pink or red top with matching plaid bottoms.
Silk slip dresses and skirts are really having a moment.
The in-your-face pink is super fun and girly.

My Nails
For my nails, I'm actually recreating a look from my Eye-Catching Holiday Nail Art post. Here was the inspiration:
How I did it: After cutting and filing my nails, I took my red nail polish and put a streak on a make up sponge. Then I quickly dabbed it on to the middle of my nail. You need to be quick for it, or else the polish will dry on the sponge. After I had an ombre line going across the nail, I filled in the top portion just with the brush. When it's dried, I put chunky red glitter on top. For Valentine's day, I decided to take it a step further and put a milky white glitter to add more of the white element. When everything is dry, just put some clear top coat and you're done!
